Thought I'd tell you a little bit about me and why I'm here. So I currently live in a little sleepy village on the outskirts of a city called Ripon in north York show with my husband, Kevin and my rescue dog Priya. I've been on my path for over 30 years now. And it started when I went traveling around Australia, aged 22. Notice that number. It comes up a lot. I was introduced to herbal teas and I know it sounds so silly, but that really was a step into the unknown for me at that point. And then I went on to learn a little bit about yoga and naturopath, which really fascinated me. I came back to the UK and I had a problem with my back. It must have been carting that backpack around. I went to see a remedial, massuese. I was quite unsure though. It was still at that point. And I was very impressed with Sue who was the, massuese. And she fixed my back in two sessions. I had a third session and I plucked up courage to ask if there are any jobs, at the clinic. And they offered me a part-time job in reception. In my previous life I'd worked in airlines had got no problem chatting to people. And so it began. I later then a couple of months later went on to train in remedial massage. And at the osteopathic clinic is where I met Janet, who was a reflexologist. And later unbeknown to me, she would become my mentor. We'd Jabba in between clients. And honestly, she had the most wicked sense of humor. I miss her so much I thought, well, do you know what? I'm going to book a session and see what this is all about. So within about five or 10 minutes, she told me all about myself, things that had never told anyone. And to be honest, I was flabbergasted. She told me in 10 years time, I would be like her, which didn't know what that meant at the time. But I am in a word. I went on then to train and reflexology because I was so blown away by it and her, and also aroma therapy and lots of massage modalities, kinesiology. Phytotherapy iridology. Um, I became a yoga and meditation teacher and basically I became an ologist. I just, I couldn't stop studying and taking in all this information. And Janet was giving me books left, right. And center to read, and I was just loving it. So in 1999, um, I began teaching aroma therapy, massage modalities and reflexology at Bradford college. And later went on to become their course tutor on a complimentary therapy degree, as well as an examiner. After about six years there, we moved to Spain for 10 years where I regularly taught yoga classes, weekly yoga classes, spiritual development groups. And I ran yoga holidays as well, which was hard work, but it was good fun. Amongst all of this have been traveling to India for over 22 years. We went on our honeymoon and this is like our spiritual home. And I could dedicate the whole podcast to that. But we started, like I say, with our honeymoon. And then I went on my spiritual quest looking for a guru. I'll tell you about that sometime and a yoga training. And now we go every year on business and try add on a little bit of pleasure as well. So fast forward to now. And we have an amazing spiritual boho type shop in Ripon, we sell lots of things from crystals and incense, essential oils, gemstone jewelry, which we have made for is Indian textiles, which we import and lots of other spiritual tools, as well as our own range of clothing, made from upcycled saris, all designed by us well Kev, but we don't give him that. And just the tailor's dummy. I just give along for the ride to be honest. It's doing great. We love it. So my path so far has been amazing. I've learned so much along the way, and I've probably forgotten as much. I've learned but I really do love every minute of it. There's lots more I can tell you, and I will tell you, but I'm not going to waffle on too much because I don't want to put you off coming back. Anyway. Thank you for joining me. It really means the world to me and I look forward to chatting to you soon. Bye.
